Job Description and Duties

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I – SONOMA-MENDOCINO COAST DISTRICT / MENDOCINO SECTOR / HENDY WOODS STATE PARKS

This position is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.

This recruitment may be used to fill identical vacancies which may occur within 180 days of the Final Filing Date of this job posting.


The reporting location for this position is the Hendy Woods State Park in Philo, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

 

The incumbent will provide skilled carpentry, roofing, painting, electrical, plumbing and other related maintenance and housekeeping skills throughout the facility; direct and assist seasonal staff with performing housekeeping duties throughout the work location. Safely operate a motor vehicle, including various types of utility carts; respond to maintenance related emergencies. Working conditions may involve exposure to extreme temperatures.

 

Incumbents work schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

This position requires a valid California Class C Driver’s license.
