Job Description and Duties

This position is looking for an individual who is ready to join a dynamic team to provide Information Technology (IT) contract administrative services, and provide quality customer service in supporting CDSS technological initiatives. Under the general direction of the Technology Administrative Services (TAS) Bureau Chief, the Information Technology (IT) Specialist I is the central point of contact for the Information Systems Division (ISD), providing contract administrative supporting activities including, but not limited to: development of IT Statements of Work (SOW) for services and hardware/software, working collaboratively with program staff to support them in the development of IT service contracts, liaison with the CDSS Contracts and Procurement branch, and deliverable and invoice tracking. The IT Specialist I provides consultation and is the expert resource to ISD management and staff related to IT services contracting.

Special Requirements

This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are considered limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT hardware/software and services acquisitions
• Background and knowledge of IT leveraged procurement Agreements, such as: Master Service Agreements (MSA) and California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS)
• Familiarity with IT Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitation for Bids (IFBs)
• Understanding of the Microsoft O365 suite of services
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure and Dynamics
• Skill and experience utilizing emerging technologies
• Understanding and experience with writing requirements in support of IT acquisitions
• Ability to multi-task
• Understanding of Departmental IT contracting goals and objectives
• Regular attendance
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Strong skills and experience utilizing the Microsoft suite of products including: Excel, Access, Word, power point, and Office • Skill and experience utilizing Sharepoint
