A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. This SOQ is designed to elicit information regarding each applicant’s abilities, knowledge, and experience in relation to the Associate Transportation Planner position in the Sustainability Program, within the Director’s Office.
Please submit a SOQ for the hiring manager’s review. Your SOQ will be considered the first interview for this position.
Applicants who fail to submit an SOQ or fail to follow SOQ instructions will result in the application being rejected and the applicant will no longer be considered for this position. Cover Letters and Resumes do not take the place of a SOQ. Only qualified candidates will be scheduled for an interview
STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS INSTRUCTIONS:
All interested candidates must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). Each SOQ question below is to be answered separately. Your SOQ should be no longer than two (2) pages, single spaced with 12 pt. Arial font with one (1) inch margins.
- Describe your education and/or experience related to zero-emission vehicles and/or zero-emission charging/fueling infrastructure.
- Describe your knowledge and/or experience in conducting outreach and engagement with external stakeholders, partners, and/or decision-makers. Responses should include:
a. Knowledge of and/or experience in effectively communicating complex topics (verbal, written, or visual communication).
b. knowledge of and/or experience in creating and providing presentations in person and/or online.
3. Describe a time when you worked on multiple projects or a complicated project. What organizational skills, abilities, tools, and/or habits did you utilize to keep yourself on task and the project delivered on time?
Candidates that believe they meet the minimum qualifications based on a pattern of education from the classification description (specifications) must provide a copy of their degree, transcripts, license, and/or certificate, along with the State application (STD. 678) to be considered for this position.
