In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
1. Extensive expertise in privacy and data security policy, including demonstrated sound judgment and experience advising personnel at all levels, including board members, executives, and members of all divisions, on the organization’s approach to privacy and data security, to ensure consistency in both policies and products.
2. Broad and extensive experience formulating and implementing policies, procedures, processes, and programs to ensure improved productivity, decision-making and enterprise effectiveness in an environment that is both highly visible and political, including experience identifying downstream legal implications on proposed decisions, and experience making persuasive oral and written presentations in high-level meetings on difficult and complex matters.
3. Experience writing regulations, advising an agency in a leadership capacity, and addressing complex and sensitive legal matters of public interest.
4. Experience developing cooperative working relationships and effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, program partners, peer managers, Legislative and Executive Branch members, and state and federal agencies.
5. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced / high-stress situations.
6. Comfortable teleworking / working remotely.
