LABORER – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / PAJARO COAST SECTOR / NEW BRIGHTON
STATE BEACH
This position is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications
from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement,
re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be
accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement
BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does
not result in a hire.
The reporting
location for this position is New Brighton State Beach in Capitola, CA., but
may be required to assist with the entire facility maintenance program for the
Pajaro Coast Sector and the Santa Cruz District. This position will work under the supervision
of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.
The Laborer will perform miscellaneous unskilled structural, facility maintenance, and repair work throughout the sector on a wide variety of park facilities, including buildings, systems, grounds, roads, and trails. The incumbent keeps tools and equipment in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports as required.
The work shift
is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This position requires
a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your
driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number,
class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your
application.
The selected
candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing
Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position
is designed as not telework eligible.
Training and
Development Assignments may be considered.
State
