About this Role:

The Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) will determine the scope and parameters of research criteria and perform the more complex research and data analysis projects for the Data Analytics Division (DAD), Data Science Branch (DSB), Research Advisory Services Section, which reside in Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM). The RDS III will serve as a top expert in developing measure specifications, the analytic approach, and data infrastructure to assess the impact of Medi-Cal policies and programs on eligibility, access, quality, utilization, health outcomes and expenditures in the context of disparities/equity and population health. The position will act as a resource / team lead to management and research staff for complex analytics and data linkages associated with data collection, reporting, and implementation of evidence-based programs and best practices to reduce health disparities and improve health, quality of care, and cost outcomes.

Telework Information

The DHCS standard for hybrid work is a minimum of two days per week in-person and site-based and up to three teleworking days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department’s operational business needs and subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
