The Department of State Hospitals Metropolitan, is accepting applications for Associate Governmental Program Analyst(AGPA)/Staff Services Analyst (SSA) permanent/full-time.
Working Title: AGPA/SSA, Forensic Services Department.
Under the general directions of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) /Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs the most technical analytical staff services assignments such as preparing reports, analyzing data, and presenting ideas and recommendations on procedures, policies, and program alternatives effectively.
Incumbent will perform complex technical work in processing, maintaining, and control of penal code records. Reviews and analyzes complex proposed legislation and advises management on the potential impact, makes decisions on complex transactions, prepares correspondence, monitor, track and initiate court commitment Forensic Reports. Responsible for cross training and the ability to fully process all duties outlined in all desk procedures. Must be able to read and interpret California Penal Code; Welfare and Institution Code; Case Law and Court Orders. May act as a lead.
The position requires the ability to interpret and apply appropriate penal code laws, polices, and procedures. Incumbents will be responsible for preforming research, analyses, development, and implementation of data trending and tracking, various and complex technical analytical assignments.
Excellent writing and communication skills are required and must be able to work effectively with other people, i.e., Courts, Attorneys, Conditional Release Programs, Department of Justice, Forensics, Hospital Clinical Staff, and HIMD staff.
Excellent attendance, strong analytical skills, and good computer skills are also required.
