In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Ability to communicate complex technical matters effectively in person and in writing to a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to function effectively and work cooperatively in a team.
• Knowledge of and/or experience related to environmental justice, community engagement and/or risk communication with members of the public.
• Knowledge of the general principles of toxicology, with an emphasis in risk assessment.
• Knowledge of the analytical methods for measurement, monitoring, and modeling of air emissions.
