Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is required for this position.
Possession of a valid driver’s license
is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)-Applicants must also submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The SOQ is a discussion of how an applicant's education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria in the duty statement and qualify the applicant for this position.

• The SOQ must follow the number format, must respond to the criteria below, must not exceed two pages in length, and be typed in size 11-point Arial font.

2. Provide examples where you demonstrated effective communication through various formats (ie. reports, presentations) to diverse audiences. Describe your collaboration methods with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Describe your experience with transportation projects.
4. Describe your experience with managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, addressing organizational challenges, optimizing workflow, and/or streamlining processes all while ensuring alignment with the Organization’s goals/priorities.
5. Please describe your experience that supports continuous improvement. This may include participation in committees, professional organizations or efforts related to the profession of Intelligent Transportation Systems or Transportation Engineering.
