Statement of Qualifications
(SOQ)
is a document you develop that shows how your education, training, experience, and
skills meet the criteria in the duty statement and qualifies you for the position.
In your own words, please provide responses to the following questions, in Arial 11 point font not to
exceed 2 pages.
1. Contract & Procurement Management- Describe your experience preparing, managing, and executing contracts or other complex agreements. In your response, include your role in developing scopes of work, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, processing amendments, and coordinating with stakeholders.
2. Fiscal Analysis & Budget Oversight- Provide an example of when you were responsible for budget development, monitoring, or expenditure analysis. Explain the tools or methods you used, how you identified and resolved issues, and how your work supported organizational planning, reporting, or decision-making.
3. Consultative Services & Cross-Department Coordination- This position requires serving as a subject-matter expert for procurement, contracts, and administrative processes. Describe a situation where you provided consultative guidance to staff or management on a complex administrative or technical issue. Include the steps you took to analyze the issue, the recommendations you made, and the outcome.
4. Training, Process Improvement & Administrative Leadership- Explain your experience training staff, developing procedures, or improving administrative processes. Describe the problem or need you identified, the actions you took to develop or update procedures, and how your work improved consistency, efficiency, or compliance within your organization.
