The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as
documentation of each applicant’s ability to present information clearly and concisely
in writing. Please follow the instructions below; failure to include and
complete the SOQ as instructed may result in the SOQ not being considered and
in disqualification from the interview. Each question must be numbered and
addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no
more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font.
1. Discuss your experience and knowledge in preparing project documents relating to project development procedures, standards, policies, and practices. Provide your experience in preparing Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E), preparing technical reports, memorandums, and letters.
2. Discuss your experience leading functional work teams to successfully deliver quality assigned products on time and on schedule in a cooperative environment with effective communication.
3. Describe your experience preparing project cost estimates. What considerations are important? What type of coordination is needed?
4. Describe your experience with the Utility process as it pertains to project development. What are the steps in the utility process? What coordination is needed? What standards apply for Utility work?
5. Describe in detail your relevant experience with CADD software applications. What types of projects have you designed with CADD software? What types of CADD applications are you proficient with? Describe how they are used in the project development process.
6. Describe your experience with Quality Management. How does this process integrate into the project development process?
